Skylights are one of those things homeowners either love or dread. When they work the way they're supposed to, they fill a room with natural light and honestly make a space feel completely different. When they're failing - cracked seals, deteriorating frames, debris collecting around the curb - they become a water intrusion problem waiting to happen.

We work on skylights across all types of roofs. Flat roofs with multiple units, pitched asphalt shingle roofs with single installations - the approach changes depending on the setup, but the standard doesn't. Every skylight we touch gets a full inspection of the surrounding roofing material, the flashing, and the seal before we do anything else. That's where most of the trouble starts, and it's where we focus.

Installation is more involved than most people expect. Proper flashing integration with the shingle courses, clean curb framing, and a watertight seal around the entire unit - those details are what separate a skylight that lasts from one that leaks after the first heavy rain. We don't cut corners on any of it.

Whether you're adding a new skylight, replacing an old one that's past its life, or dealing with one that's already showing signs of failure, we can walk you through what needs to happen and get it done right. The goal is always the same - natural light inside your home, zero water intrusion, and roofing work that holds up long term.
