Some spaces in a home just never get enough light. Hallways, stairwells, interior rooms - they stay dim no matter what you do with bulbs or paint colors. A sun tunnel skylight is one of the cleanest fixes for that problem, and it does not require tearing into your walls or adding a full skylight box.

Here's how it works. We cut a small opening in the roof, mount a dome-shaped collector that captures daylight, and run a highly reflective metal tube down through the attic space. That tube channels light all the way to a diffuser lens on your ceiling. The result is a round, glowing circle of natural light right where you need it most - no electrical work, no major structural changes.

The roof penetration gets flashed and sealed properly, just like any other roofing component we touch. That part matters. A poorly installed sun tunnel is a leak waiting to happen, and we treat every roof opening with the same attention we'd give a full repair. Clean flashing, tight seals, shingles laid back correctly around the dome.

What you end up with on the inside is genuinely impressive. The diffuser lens spreads light evenly across the room - soft, natural, and bright without being harsh. Spaces that used to feel closed off and cave-like get a completely different feel. It is a small upgrade with a big impact on how a room actually feels to be in.

If you have got a spot in your home that feels too dark and you have been putting off dealing with it, a sun tunnel is worth a real conversation. It is one of the more straightforward installations we do, and the payoff is immediate.
